Description
The Orcia controlled designation of origin was created in 2000 between the territories of Vino Nobile and Brunello. The doc requires a minimum of 60 percent Sangiovese.
Intense ruby color tending toward garnet, with elegant bouquet typical of long aged Sangiovese, notes of violet and plum and very slight hints of toast and vanilla derived from aging. The flavor is dry and elegant, with good acid nerve, rightly tannic without being astringent.
